Terms of Service

Starter draft: have these terms reviewed before public launch.

Who can use BarrierCheck

BarrierCheck is intended for pool safety inspectors and related inspection businesses. New accounts may be reviewed before official or ongoing access is approved.

Software tool only

BarrierCheck is inspection and reporting software. It does not act as an inspector, certifier, regulator or legal adviser.

User responsibility

Users remain responsible for inspections, professional judgement, current standards, report review and any certificates or notices issued.

Free trial eligibility

Free trials are limited to one trial per inspector, licence number, business, phone number or other reasonable account identifier. Creating multiple accounts, deleting and recreating accounts, or using another login method to obtain additional free trials is not permitted.

Deleting an account does not reset free-trial eligibility. BarrierCheck may refuse, reduce or remove free-trial access if it reasonably appears that a trial has already been used for the same inspector, licence, business, phone number or related account.

Account deletion

Users may request or perform account deletion where the feature is available. Account deletion is intended to remove or de-identify the user's app profile, inspections, reports, uploaded photos and related app data, subject to any restore period and any records that BarrierCheck reasonably needs to retain.

BarrierCheck may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute handling, legal compliance, or to prevent repeated free-trial abuse. This may include a hashed record of an inspector licence number or phone number used only to determine whether a free trial has already been used.

Subscriptions

Paid access may be billed monthly through Stripe. Access may be limited if a subscription is cancelled, expired or unpaid.
