Privacy Policy

Starter draft: have this privacy policy reviewed before public launch.

Information collected

BarrierCheck may collect account details, inspector profile details, company details, inspection records, client details, property details, notes and evidence photos.

How information is used

Information is used to provide the software, save inspections, generate reports, support accounts, manage billing, verify inspector account details, protect the service, and prevent misuse of free trials.

Free-trial eligibility records

Free trials are limited to one trial per inspector, licence number, business, phone number or other reasonable account identifier. To prevent repeated free-trial abuse, BarrierCheck may keep a limited eligibility record after an account is deleted.

Where possible, this record should not contain the raw licence number or raw phone number. It may contain a hashed or otherwise minimised record that indicates a trial has already been used. This record is used for security, fraud prevention and free-trial eligibility only.

Account deletion

If you delete your account, BarrierCheck is intended to delete or de-identify your account profile, inspection records, reports, uploaded photos and related app data, subject to any restore period and any records that BarrierCheck reasonably needs to retain.

BarrierCheck may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute handling, legal compliance, or to prevent repeated free-trial abuse. Deleting your account does not reset free-trial eligibility.

Security

BarrierCheck uses cloud services such as Firebase and Stripe. Users should keep account access secure and only upload information they are authorised to handle.
