Terms of Service
Effective date: 16 June 2026. These starter terms should be reviewed by a lawyer before public launch.
Who can use BarrierCheck
BarrierCheck is intended for pool safety inspectors only. New accounts may be verified against applicable pool safety inspector register information before access is approved. We aim to review new accounts within 24 hours.
Software tool only
BarrierCheck is a software and reporting tool. BarrierCheck does not act as a pool safety inspector, certifier, legal adviser or regulator. BarrierCheck does not issue pool safety certificates and does not guarantee compliance.
User responsibility
Users are responsible for inspecting each property, verifying current laws, standards and guidelines, applying professional judgement, checking all findings, photos, notes and recommendations, and reviewing final reports before issuing any certificate, notice or report.
Queensland-focused content
BarrierCheck may include Queensland-focused rule prompts, templates or decision-support content. Users must verify all requirements against current law, standards, guidelines, site conditions and professional obligations.
Subscriptions
BarrierCheck may offer a one-month free trial followed by monthly subscription billing. Users can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future billing and access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, unless the user deletes their account.
Account deletion
Deleting an account permanently removes BarrierCheck access and is intended to delete the account, company profile, inspection records, evidence photos and stored app data. If Stripe billing is active, future billing cancellation will be handled through the billing system once implemented.
